Self-love is the root: both the love you give and the love you can accept grow from it. Jacques Salomé puts this very directly in this little workbook. Those who do not love themselves find it difficult to love others and risk constantly looking outside themselves to fulfil their need to be loved.
The booklet is part of the series of little workbooks known as the small psycho-coaches. It uses tests and interactive exercises that you write in yourself, gradually turning it into a personal companion.
Jacques Salomé is a social psychologist and a graduate of the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris. For more than 30 years he gave seminars on interpersonal relationships, including twelve years at the University of Lille, and his books have been translated into more than 20 languages. He developed the ESPERE method (Énergie Specifique Pour une Écologie Relationnelle Essentielle) and founded the Le regard fertile educational centre, through which he led the continuing education of many thousands of sociologists, psychologists, doctors and counsellors. He is committed to Non-Violent Communication and hopes that communication will one day be taught as a subject in mainstream schools. Marshall Rosenberg wrote the foreword to his bestseller ‘Einfühlsame Kommunikation’.
Illustrated by Jean Augagneur and translated from French into German by Claudia Seele-Nyima. 64 pages.
