Mindfulness is essentially a simple approach: staying calm even in the midst of the stress and demands of everyday life. This workbook shows you how to do this, step by step, so you can try it out for yourself.
It’s about observing your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations without judgement – without immediately evaluating or pushing them aside – and experiencing every moment with conscious presence. A brief guide to relaxation that, over time, can change the way you experience everyday life, almost of its own accord.
It was written by Ilios Kotsou, translated from the French by Claudia Seele-Nyima, and illustrated by Jean Augagneur.
Ilios Kotsou holds a PhD in psychology, is an author and a lecturer at the Université libre de Bruxelles. His academic work focuses in particular on emotions, mindfulness, resilience and the foundations of mental wellbeing. He is a trained mindfulness coach, co-founder of the non-profit organisation Émergences and co-developer of the meditation app Prezens. In his books and seminars, he combines scientific insights with practical exercises for everyday life.
