‘Mitgefühl als Weg’ takes you through 52 lessons in which Nonviolent Communication does not remain abstract, but becomes tangible as a concrete method, a way of relating in everyday life and a skill you can practise.
It was written by Thom Bond, who has worked with NVC as a trainer, mediator, speaker and coach for more than 30 years and has introduced tens of thousands of people to the concept. Using situations from everyday life, he writes in an accessible and humorous yet profound way. His articles have appeared in publications including the New York Times, New York Magazine and Yoga Magazine.
The book gives you a concise and honest introduction to Nonviolent Communication, shows you how to approach demanding and critical situations in an integrative way, and provides a practical guide for sustainably deepening your relationship with yourself and the people around you. It is also an invitation to live and share NVC in your own community.
Thom Bond is the founder and educational director of the New York Center for Nonviolent Communication (NYCNVC) and a trainer at the CNVC's International Intensive Trainings (IITs). Its content and experience come from his online course of the same name, which more than 6,000 participants around the world have completed.
Translated from English by Peter Ebenhoch and Gabriele Vana. Published by Junfermann Verlag, 304 pages.
