Marshall Rosenberg on CD: Beyond Good and Evil

This recording takes you to a lecture given live by Marshall Rosenberg at the third international ‘Collective Intelligence / Collective Wisdom’ congress, held in Würzburg from 28 to 30 April 2006. The lecture is in English, runs for 68 minutes and is available on CD and DVD.

Rosenberg addresses several topics and brings them to life through short illustrative stories: how to communicate during conflict (first state a clear observation, then say which needs are not being met and which feelings this evokes, and end the conversation with a clear request), what the worst possible response to a statement might be, two ways of dealing with criticism, and how to express and receive gratitude.

At its heart, his starting point remains the aim of Nonviolent Communication: to create a connection between the people speaking that makes it possible to meet everyone’s needs. Rosenberg is convinced that a solution can be found when we communicate according to these principles, because they allow us to see what is alive in ourselves and in others.
