NVC Summer Festival 2019 – a set of 7 DVDs!

At the 2019 European NVC Summer Festival in Dorfweil, Hesse, around 160 workshops ran in parallel, an abundance that no one could experience in full. The publisher Auditorium Netzwerk recorded seven of these events, including two with the American trainer Kelly Bryson, and is now releasing them as a set.

The set includes Kelly Bryson’s ‘Forum’, a transparent form of communication for groups; Iris Bawidamann’s talk ‘NVC and Racism’; Kathleen De Laet’s talk ‘Die vier Stühle’; Joachim Berggren’s ‘The Beauty of Hierarchie’; Claudia Broadhurst’s short introduction to Nonviolent Communication in English and German; Jürgen Engel’s ‘Magie der Empathie’ in German; and another workshop by Kelly Bryson. Most of the contributions are in English.

In the Forum workshop, Kelly Bryson demonstrates just how much community building depends on trust in the group. You may know the format from ZEGG (Zentrum für Experimentelle Gesellschafts-Gestaltung) in Bad Belzig, but it is also practised in many other communities around the world: a ritualised form of transparent communication in which people stand before the group with their bodily expression, minds and feelings.

The material was recorded on 20 and 21 July 2019 in Schmitten and runs for around 516 minutes in total across 7 DVDs.
