In *Education That Enriches Life*, Marshall B. Rosenberg takes you into the day-to-day life of a school and shows how Non-Violent Communication can be put into practice there. The book is published by Junfermann Verlag, translated by Theo Kierdorf, and comprises 176 pages.

Rosenberg describes an educational approach that fosters an interest in learning and academic achievement whilst simultaneously creating a safe, supportive learning environment. It focuses on emotional intelligence, respect and compassion, but also directly addresses how to resolve conflicts and prevent or defuse violence in schools.

At the heart of this approach lies the relationship – between pupils, teachers, administrative staff and parents – underpinned by mutual respect. Rosenberg demonstrates how new, effective forms of interaction and cooperation can emerge, leading to schools that meet the needs of everyone who learns and works there.
