This booklet by Marshall B. Rosenberg explores a question familiar to many of us: How can we heal old wounds and find our way back to relationships that are good for us? Rosenberg explains the skills this requires, whether the conflict arises at work, at home, at school or elsewhere.
Empathy is at the centre of the book: the compassion and heartfelt presence that make healing and reconciliation possible in the first place. Step by step, the book shows you how to rediscover understanding in strained relationships, both with yourself and with the people with whom you are in conflict.
Rosenberg (1934 to 2015) was internationally known as a conflict mediator and founded Non-Violent Communication. He taught this method in more than two dozen countries to trainers, parents, teachers, medical and psychological professionals, lawyers, police officers, military personnel, peace activists and members of the clergy, as a tool for resolving differences peacefully in personal, professional and political life.
Published by Junfermann Verlag. Paperback, 64 pages.
